Nine Days of Prayer - Sunday
Christ as Our Cornerstone
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” • 1 Peter 2:7
Read: 1 Peter 2:4-10
We are reminded that Christ is our cornerstone, the most important building block in our life. He is transforming us – a people – into His temple. While having enough space to comfortable sit and easily park is a terrific thing, we must remember first that the whole body of Christ, that is His people are His temple and he is present when we gather together to worship him, whether it be in an overpacked church, in an auditorium, a house, or a field, He is present with His people. 1. What is my attitude towards the body of Christ? 2. Did I remember today that Christ is present in his gathered body at church?
Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. • 1 Chronicles 29:16
