This week, we looked at Hebrews 3:7-19 and were reminded of where our truest rest comes from. The author of Hebrews used Psalm 95 to show how Israel could not rest during the exodus because of unbelief and the hardness of hearts.
The author gave two remedies to this problem. First, he called us to listen to the Holy Spirit. We do this by reading God's word. Second, we exhort one another. In the Word of God and mutual encouragement, we are reminded of the gospel truths that lead us out of our wilderness of sin and into the place of deepest joy.
