Setting Our Hearts Right
Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. • 1 Chronicles 29:16
Read: 1 Chronicles 29:14-19 Above all else, in this time of growth, we are reminded that all good gifts come from the Lord. He has entrusted us to use them well and to His glory. David says to his people that the Lord tests the hearts. If we approach our future out of pride or arrogance, we have missed the point of the Lord’s calling to us. Instead, let us test our hearts:
1. Is my heart acting out of pride? If so, spend some time today in repentance. 2. Ask the Lord for wisdom about how you as an individual might live to His glory, and how we as a community might continue to do likewise.
