Greetings and salutations to you all on this fine September morning. We were commenting at Morning Prayer today that it really is starting to feel like we have shifted to another season. I hope this season is filled with goodness and joy for all of you.
Men's and Women's Bible Study
We usually meet on the second Saturday of the month to read and study the word of God together. I did not realize that this coming Saturday was, in fact, the second Saturday, so we will not be meeting until next week. The Men's and Women's Bible Study will meet on September 15th at 9 am. We will continue our studies of the essential 100 verses of the Bible.
Adult Christian education will resume on Sunday at 9 am when we are finishing our study of the 39 articles. This is a time to explore our Anglican tradition more deeply and ask questions.
Ladies' Guild and Men's Fellowship
The Ladies' Guild and Men's fellowship meet this Friday, September 7th at 11 am. This time of fellowship allows us to grow closer, and get to know each other better as well as discuss ways we can be blessings in our community.
Other times of worship at the church
While Sunday is our principle time of worship at the church, I want to remind everyone that there are other times that we come together to worship the Lord. These are great if you're longing for more times throughout the week to pause and have a more formal reminder of the goodness of the Lord acting in our lives.
Mondays - Thursdays at 8:30 am we gathered for Morning Prayer and read the word of God.
Wednesday nights at 6 pm we join in singing through Evensong. Following that, we have fellowship. In a few weeks, we will resume our Wednesday night studies. I'll go more into this once the details are finalized.
Our next Vestry meeting is this coming Sunday after worship. If you are on the vestry, please try to be there.
That's all the news from here. I'll keep this short this week. I hope everyone is well. As always, I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.
