A Blessed St. Matthew's day to you all. It seems fall has finally come to Prescott and isn't it pleasant to be able to be outside and not feel like we'll melt?
Don't forget this Sunday is the offsite brunch. We'll be going to Olive Garden for fellowship and delicious Italian food.
This is the last call to bring in stuff for the rummage sale. It looks like there will be a significant number of items for up for sale. Please let the Ladies Guild know if you're available to assist next week.
Don't forget to let your neighbors know about the amazing treasures they may find! Fliers are available in the parish hall.
Ben Lizak and I will be traveling to Atlanta the first week of October for the Provincial Synod. The exciting part of the synod is that there will be four continuing Anglican jurisdictions meeting at the same time.
Lord willing the bishops will sign an intercommunion agreement and will be a sign of our commitment to work together to the glory of God. Please pray that the synod goes smoothly, God is glorified, and we can come together as the body of Christ. Please also pray that Ben and I have a safe trip there and back.
Please note the church office will be closed October 4th and 5th. There will be no Wednesday Morning Prayer, Fr. Crites has graciously agreed to lead Wednesday Evening Prayer and Thursday Morning Prayer.
This week's Prayer for our Church:
Let us continue to pray that we would have discernment about what it looks like to be an Anglican church in the quad city region and what this next season of life at All Saints looks like.
As always, I am looking forward to seeing all of you on Sunday!
Fr. Ian Emile Dunn
