I hope everyone is staying warm. Please let us know at the church if you need anything during this unseasonably cold time.
I'm sorry I didn't get the newsletter out last week. Some stuff came up that demanded my attention. So, we have a few things to catch everyone up on.
This Sunday is the Fifth Sunday in Easter, commonly called Rogation Sunday. When I lived in rural Maine Rogation Sunday was a pretty big deal. On Rogation Sunday we pray for the years crops and that the harvest would be good. This year Kathi has brought in some fun seeds for planting in honor of this day and a reminder that even though many of us don't depend upon farming our land for our food - that we should still recognize that every good gift comes from God.
Sunday - 9 am - Christian Education - Revelation Chapter 7.
10 am - Rogation Sunday - Morning Prayer.
Monday - the office is closed for Memorial Day, and there is no Morning Prayer. Please pray for those who have lost someone in service to our country.
Wednesday - Evensong at 6 pm followed by soup supper.
Thursday, May 30 - Holy Communion at 6 pm for Ascension Day.
June 7, 11:30 am - Ladies' Guild and Men's Fellowship will meet at the church. These both provide a great time of fellowship and interaction.
June 8, at 9 am - Men's and Ladies' Bible Study continues to work our way through the Essential 100 Bible passages.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
