It's hard to believe that today marks the one-month anniversary of arriving in Prescott, in some senses it seems as though I have been here forever. At the same time, it is hard to believe a month has already come and gone.
September has lots of exciting events going on.
Tomorrow September 1st
We kick off the month with a Ladies' Guild Meeting at 11 am in the Parish Hall. The ladies will be working on making the final arrangements for the rummage sale at the end of the month.
Saturday, September 9
The men's and women's fellowship will be meeting.
The Men's fellowship will be beginning their study of the Essential 100 Bible stories. This should be really exciting and edifying. I encourage any men who are able to attend. Please let me know on Sunday if you need the handout for it. These are also available for anyone else who may want one; we have plenty!
The Women's Fellowship is continuing their study of the Book of Ruth, lead by Ann Finke. It sounds like an excellent study and the women have a lovely time. I encourage anyone who can attend to do so.
Mark your calendar for the world famous All Saints Rummage Sale! (Or at least widely known throughout Prescott.) We are accepting donations. Please drop off your items in the parish hall on Sunday or arrange with me a time to drop them off during the week. I'm here Monday - Thursday, but sometimes run out for a meeting or a change of scenery, so just make sure I'm here. If you need assistance with items, please let Ben Lizak or me know.
Altar Guild meeting
We will be having an Altar Guild meeting in the next couple of weeks. I want to go over general procedures with everyone, make sure we're on the same page, and answer any questions people may have. Please let me know if you're interested in getting involved in the Altar Guild.
Drop-in Office Hours
I am going to be on site every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-12, andWednesday from 1-5. Chances are I'll be here more frequently than that, but I won't do visitations, schedule off site meetings, or make a coffee run during those times. Please know that I am always more than happy to meet with you and if there is an emergency call me anytime 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
I can be reached via to office phone at all hours: 928-443-5323, it forwards to my cell phone. If you would like to meet outside of the times listed above or want to meet for coffee or have dinner, just let me know. I would be thrilled.
Please continue your prayers for the people of Texas and the gulf coast. More information about where you can give can be found here.
Be well and see you on Sunday,
Rev. Ian Emile Dunn
